BlockTurtle Terms of Service Last Updated: August 2, 2025 By accessing or using BlockTurtle, you agree to the following Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the user) and BlockTurtle (the service provider). Please read them carefully and ensure you understand your rights and obligations. BlockTurtle provides a platform for cryptocurrency portfolio tracking, on-chain data analytics, and related services, and these Terms apply to all users worldwide, subject to local laws. 1. Eligibility and User Obligations Legal Age: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use BlockTurtle's services. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the capacity to enter into this agreement. Compliance with Laws: BlockTurtle is accessible globally, but you are solely responsible for ensuring that using our services is legal in your country or region. You agree to follow all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. If cryptocurrency services like BlockTurtle are not permitted by law where you live, you must not use the platform. BlockTurtle reserves the right to restrict access in certain jurisdictions as needed to comply with law. Account Responsibility: If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Security Tip: Never share your password or private wallet keys with anyone. BlockTurtle will never ask for your private keys in any communication. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account. You are liable for losses resulting from failing to secure your account. 2. Services and Features Service Overview: BlockTurtle offers a cryptocurrency and Web3 portfolio dashboard and analytics service. Users can view aggregated information about their crypto assets across various sources, including token prices, on-chain transactions, NFTs, and more, in a unified interface. The platform integrates third-party data (e.g., token prices from CoinGecko and on-chain data via Zapper API) to provide these insights. Free vs. Premium Features: The basic features of BlockTurtle are provided free of charge. Certain advanced or add-on features may be offered as part of a premium "Pro" subscription. For example, connecting a blockchain wallet through the Zapper API to import detailed on-chain portfolio data may be available to Pro users only (as this integration leverages third-party services) according to BlockTurtle's pricing plans. We will clearly inform you which features are free and which require a paid subscription. By opting for any paid features, you agree to pay the applicable fees and abide by any additional terms for those features. Transactional vs. Marketing Communications: By using BlockTurtle, you may receive service-related communications. Transactional emails (or in-app notifications) include important account or service alerts, such as security notifications, transaction alerts, confirmations, password resets, and product updates that you explicitly enable. These are considered part of the service and are sent on the basis of fulfilling our services to you, not for promotion. Marketing emails, such as newsletters or promotional updates, will only be sent to you if you have provided informed, opt-in consent as required by law. We will not bundle promotional content within essential service emails, and we will not require you to agree to marketing communications in order to use a necessary service feature. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the provided link, and we will honor such preferences. (Note that truly transactional/service emails may not include an unsubscribe option since they are only sent when necessary and not for marketing.) 3. Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines By using the platform, you agree NOT to: Impersonation or Unauthorized Access: Misrepresent your identity or attempt to log in as someone else. You must not use or access another user's account or wallet without proper authorization. Disruption and Misuse: Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of BlockTurtle. This includes attempting to disable, hack, overload, or impair our infrastructure or services (e.g., deploying malware, automated bots, or scrapers in an unauthorized way). Any attempt to circumvent security measures or to access data not intended for you is strictly prohibited. Spam, Scams, and Malicious Content: Engage in spamming, phishing, or transmitting fraudulent or malicious content. You may not post or share links that lead to scams, viruses, or harmful software. Prohibited Content: Post content that is harassing, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive. Promote unlawful behavior such as hacking or money laundering. Intellectual Property Violations: Share content that infringes intellectual property or other rights without permission. Unlawful Activity: Use BlockTurtle for fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, or any other illegal purposes. Commercial Exploitation or Resale: Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, or resell any portion of BlockTurtle's services or content without permission. Enforcement: Violations may result in warnings, account suspension, or termination. Serious or repeated violations can lead to immediate and permanent account removal. 4. Third-Party Data and Links BlockTurtle relies on third-party providers (e.g., CoinGecko, Zapper API) for certain data. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of such data. These providers may restrict or modify access without notice, potentially affecting the information displayed. BlockTurtle is not liable for errors or omissions in third-party data. We may also display links to external sites or services. These are provided for convenience only, and we are not responsible for their content, policies, or services. 5. No Financial Advice or Investment Recommendations All content on BlockTurtle is for informational and educational purposes only. We are not a broker, financial adviser, or tax adviser. Nothing on BlockTurtle should be interpreted as financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You alone are responsible for your decisions. Cryptocurrency Risk Disclosure Volatility: Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile; you may lose all invested value. Regulatory Uncertainty: Laws and regulations can change and may restrict use or trading. No Guarantees: Past performance is not indicative of future results. Security Risks: Hacks, theft, and loss of private keys can result in irrecoverable losses. Technical Risks: Network congestion, bugs, or forks may affect transactions or data. By using BlockTurtle, you confirm you understand and accept these risks. 6. Intellectual Property All content, branding, software, and design of BlockTurtle are owned or licensed by BlockTurtle and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our marks, content, or software beyond what is allowed under a personal, non-commercial license. User-submitted content remains yours, but by posting it on our platform, you grant us a license to use and display it to operate and improve the service. 7. Disclaimers of Warranties BlockTurtle is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy, or suitability for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party providers. 8. Limitation of Liability We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data. Our total liability is capped at the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. 9. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms. 10. Termination We may suspend or terminate your account for violations, illegal activity, or service discontinuation. Upon termination, provisions that should survive will remain in effect.
